The Bury St. Edmunds Ecumenical Centre Trust (BECT) overall mission is one of Christian service and witness to the community.

The Charity aims to improve the health and well-being of local people and encourage them to take part in a range of activities, services and facilities within the Centre by: developing a welcoming community centre that is open daily to people of all ages locally for older people, young people, migrant families, those with a range of mental health problems and disabilities, ethnic minority groups and other disadvantaged groups with drug and alcohol misuse problems.
